Happy 105th Birthday Lolo Marciano
Longtime Fil-Am Portland member Marciano Pizarro, reached another milestone on July 1, 2008 by turning 105 years old.
Born in 1903 in Santo Domingo, Ilocos Sur, Lolo Marciano came to the U.S. when he was a teen-ager and later met and married his wife, Hatsuko Ochida.
He joined the U.S. Navy and saw active duty in WWII and the Korean War.
He’s currently living in Gresham, Oregon where he is still going strong, especially his appetite. He loves adobo, pancit, and snacking on chicharone.
